Hi Everybody,
Well Antigua now seems like a distant memory, but as I showered this morning with my lime and green tea Babor shower gel, it took me back to those dreamy days and nights at Cocobay Resort in Antigua, nestled on the hillside next to a sandy bay, surrounded by the gentle waves rolling onto the shore, with the delicate sound of the hummingbird (if you read my last article on Marylebone, you will notice that I also mentioned the hummingbird)
There is a choice of private authentic Caribbean cottages to stay in, with striking sea views and a veranda. We opted for the one with a plunge pool and a larger terrace. Though, we spent most of our days lounging by the main pool and chatting with the other guests, everyone has an interesting story to tell, from the young New Yorkers on their honeymoon to the lovely, retired couple from Chelsea, who are here at Cocobay for the fourth time and of course during our stay some of the English cricket supporters arrived, so there was an extra buzz in the air during the five days of play.
When it comes to service, nothing is too much trouble and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly to make our stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible and the chef would prepare any special requests that were not on the menu, to please. With its shabby- chique feel and Caribbean vibe in this quiet corner of Antigua, Cocobay Resort could be described as paradise and true escapism from everyday life, capturing the peace and warmth, and extraordinary natural beauty of the Caribbean.
Our stay was for three weeks, but we could have stayed forever……

We missed you after you left and our nice chats sat on the edge of the pool with a glass of champagne!
We too have wonderful memories of an idyllic holiday in Antigua. An added bonus was meeting you!
